Pakistani tv series (or dramas as we call them) are watched all over south asia and wherever else hindi/urdu are spoken. They are to tv what bollywood is to hindi/urdu movies. But since the turkish soap Ask e Mamnu was first aired by a pakistani channel dubbed in urdu, turkish shows are ALL anyone wants to see. I just finished watching the subtitled first episode of the and i am officially hooked to the magnificent century. The government doesn't control everything on TV here, indeed, I would guess they delight in the raised profile for Turkey that these popular TV series create.Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12855990208488482147noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9060065456836212415.post-54164647681383897432012-08-21T23:10:00.773+02:002012-08-21T23:10:00.773+02:00Hi Karen - I clicked on your video link & foun...Hi Karen - I clicked on your video link & found it to be 'disabled by request'. I don't know who made the request :-)

Yes - the USA does not have a monopoly on film & TV production. When I lived in the UK, I always liked it when the BBC occasionally showed French films with English sub-titles. However, I have to say that the amount of cleavage the female heroine is showing in your picture is quite surprising in view of the Islamist tendencies of the current Turkish government. It is much more similar to what you see on the streets of Prague everyday :-)chaplain.czhttp://www.rickyyates.comnoreply@blogger.com
