Expat Life: The Truth About Unpleasant Things

Before every grand adventure, somebody has got to make you doubt your decision. I don't actually doubt my decision to move to Prague, but this woman did made me laugh. Click on the title to hear her experiences.

A funny girl. :) Yes, you will experience a drop in friendliness and overall optimism (if asked how they are, Czech people tell the truth, for example) and yes, the smell in crowded buses is something you would want to avoid. But spiders??? And people urinating everywhere??? Give me a break. :)

Been there, never seen that! Yes, the smell is not something Americans are used to, but I've experienced it in other European countries, too. I think they aren't as paranoid about body odor as we are here in the US. Some dog poo, too, but honestly, I've seen more in some US cities. And the people I dealt with were some of the MOST friendly in the world. Of course, I would assume if someone (the chick on utube?) had a bad attitude and were rude and obnoxious, the Prazans would probably react accordingly. Quite frankly, I was ready to spit on her, too, by the end of the video. I'm sure the CR is glad to be rid of her. As always, you get what you give! Don't worry, be nice and they'll be nice to you!

So what would expats living in America say about all of our bad habits?
